Club Memberships

All CORA-registered outrigger clubs are required to renew their annual CORA club memberships before 30 April. Brand new clubs must also purchase a CORA club membership in order to be eligible for CORA club benefits, such as eligibility for travel and equipment grants, as well as access to CORA’s club insurance coverage. To renew your club membership or to register a new club, and pay your $150 (including GST) annual registration fee, please click on the icon below. Upon completion and purchase of your 2020 club membership, your club’s contact person will be emailed a link to a “CORA Club Membership Detailed Information” form, which includes an OC6 registry for your club. Once this has been submitted and processed, CORA will provide your club with a link to view your club membership status, as well as the 2020 membership status of all CORA-registered paddlers who are members of your club and who have paid their annual individual CORA fees.

Updates: BC’s two new-year V12 races: FGPC V12 (sold out); Lotus Icebreaker (rescheduled!)

BC paddlers can greet the new year in groups of twelve by registering for V12 (double-hull) races out of Lotus on the mainland and FGPC on Vancouver Island. Organize yourselves into brrrrrrracing winter crews of twelve and gather at the start lines of these great races. V12 boats are supplied by both Lotus and FGPC, so logistics are as simple as registering and showing up with your paddles and PFDs. Paddles up!

President’s Report to the 2019 CORA Annual General Meeting

2019 was another busy year for the CORA board. Many new initiatives were started and completed. A well-organized team of directors has again made my role very easy.

I would like to thank all the directors who volunteered their personal time to make the association run smoothly.  It is only for the love of the sport that everyone puts in their personal time. A special thank you to Nicole, our outgoing secretary, who has kept us organized for the past 3 years.

Selection for Team Canada for the 2020 World Sprint Championships is complete and once all crew members have finally committed, training camps will be set for next year.  Thanks to the volunteer coaches and selection committee for keeping Team Canada organized.

Our finances keep getting better reported, thanks to Jonathan our Treasurer.

Our new website and supporting administrative systems have been launched. Thanks, Erik, for the massive effort to get this done.

We have managed, with Ron’s effort, to get the race calendar almost completely filled out with all conflicts dealt with before our technical meeting.  This has made for a much smoother process than ever before.

Thanks again to all who volunteered again this year.
